How matching works

What happens when you send a request

Plain English, because the consent sentence under the button is written by lawyers for lawyers.

What we collect

The project type, the ZIP code of the home, who the home is for, what prompted the request, your timeline, whether the home is owned or rented, how you expect to pay, your name, phone number, email, best time to call, and anything you typed in the notes. We also record the date and time, the page you were on, and the IP address and browser, so we can prove the request came from you if a remodeler ever asks.

Who sees it

One certified aging-in-place remodeler serving your ZIP code, once your project is matched, and the small team that runs this site. Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your request with any other company, list broker or advertiser, ever. If you allowed advertising cookies, an ad platform may learn that a form was submitted on this site, but never what it said (see the cookie policy).

How the hand-off works

A person on our team reads your request, finds a certified aging-in-place remodeler serving your ZIP code, and hands it over by phone. We record which remodeler received it, when, and who handed it over, so your consent record names the actual recipient. If nobody is available for your area we email you to say so rather than leave the request open.

What you agreed to

The sentence under the button (version 2026-10-14.v2) reads:

By submitting, you agree that Aging in Place Remodelers and the certified remodeler we match you with may call, text or email you about your project, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Anything you tell us about a fall, a hospital stay or a diagnosis is optional and is used only to match your request, never for advertising. We never sell your information.

It exists because federal law (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) requires your written permission before a business can call or text your mobile phone with automated technology. Ticking the box is that permission. It is not a condition of anything, and you can withdraw it at any time.

How to stop contact

  • Reply STOP to any text message from the remodeler.
  • Tell the remodeler on the phone. They are required to honour it.
  • Email hello@aginginplaceremodelers.com with your name and ZIP code. We close the request the same day and tell the remodeler.

How long we keep it

Requests are kept for 24 months so we can honour your consent record and follow up if a remodeler does not. Email us at any time to have your request deleted sooner. Our full privacy policy has the rest.
